The vision for Long Branch was to create a community in harmony with its surroundings.

The story of its creation is as engaging as its creator, Chris Moore, a local outdoor enthusiast turned wilderness medicine physician whose passion for land conservation crossed paths one day with an opportunity. 

Standing in the middle of Long Branch today you see protected land in every direction, but that wasn’t always the case.

 

When the 400 acre parcel of land was put up for sale, Moore and other locals took note. Fearing the land would fall into the wrong hands, it was purchased with plans to assure its protection and connection.

 

Now part of a permanent conservation easement dedicated to preserving the beauty of this land, Long Branch is limited to only 20 homesites stretching over 80 acres. The remaining 320 acres will forever be protected and provide miles of trails for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.
